After throwing live piranhas into the school pool to avenge her brother Pugsley’s mistreatment by the boys’ water polo team, Wednesday Addams is expelled from her school. As a result, her parents, Gomez and Morticia Addams, enroll her at Nevermore Academy, a private school for hideous outcasts, in the hamlet of Jericho, Vermont. Wednesday struggles to connect with her classmates and runs afoul of the school’s principal due to her cold, emotionless personality and belligerent disposition. She does learn, though, that she inherited her mother’s psychic prowess, which she uses to solve a local murder investigation.
