Honkai: Star Rail, a gacha-based role-playing game, was crafted by miHoYo and globally published by Cognosphere under the alias HoYoverse. The central protagonist, known as the “Trailblazer,” embarks on a journey spanning diverse worlds, tackling calamities initiated by the enigmatic “Stellaron.” The inaugural closed beta test kicked off on October 27, 2021, followed by the international release on April 26, 2023, for Windows and mobile platforms. The PlayStation 5 version hit the scene on October 11, 2023, while the status of a PlayStation 4 release remains undisclosed, as unveiled in the latest Summer Game Fest trailer. As the fourth installment in the Honkai series, the game integrates characters from Honkai Impact 3rd and incorporates gameplay elements from Genshin Impact, albeit with significant alterations to character backgrounds, personalities, and gameplay mechanics. Notably, it marks miHoYo’s venture into the realm of turn-based gaming.
